What she's been up to...

Cousin Emily came for a visit a couple weeks ago. She and Carter really enjoyed playing together! Here are some pics from the visit:

Carter seems to change every day! She is such a ham- it cracks me up! The minute Matt walks through the door she gives him this sly, mischievous look out of the corner of her eye. She then spends the rest of the evening trying to make him laugh by making funny faces and then cracking up at herself! I know I've said this a hundred times before, but I can't believe how fast she is growing up! Here she is holding her own bottle and crawling for the first time!

The Fourth of July

Carter's first Fourth was spent in the swimming pool with her cousin, Reese!

Summer Time!

I am in LOVE with being a stay-at-home mommy! Well, this will be short-lived as my summer vacation will end in August. :( But, I'm soaking it all in for now! Carter is 6 months old now and it seems she has grown so much in just the past few weeks. She is sitting up, LOVES to eat fruits and veggies, and "talks" non-stop. Here are a few pictures we took during the past few weeks.

The Paci and my Love-Hate Relationship

Okay, so here are some of the great and not-so-great things about Paci:

1. I LOVE that when Lil' C is having a "moment" where nothing you do consoles her...Paci comes to the rescue and I swear it's like hitting the mute button! :)

2. I HATE that at 2:00am we get a wake up call for search and rescue of the lost paci.

3. I LOVE that the moment you lay Carter in her crib she will go RIGHT to sleep as soon as you put Paci in.

4. I HATE that when you lay Carter in her crib she will NOT go to sleep UNTIL you put Paci in!

5. I HATE that after she's done with it she will spit it out as I watch it fall to the floor of the mexican food restaurant/grocery store/mall parking lot/etc.

6. I LOVE the little baby babble that I only hear with her paci in...so sweet! :)

7. I HATE when I notice after her nap that Carter has been sucking on her paci along with several strands of my hair and bits of fuzz-gross!

8. I LOVE the sweet, flirty smiles that peek out from behind the paci.

Spoiled?

This is the newest decor in my livingroom. I recently read somewhere that you can't spoil a baby during the first months of life. I guess I am testing this theory...I'll be sure to let you know how this turns out! :)

3 is the Magic Number

Carter turned 3 months old this week and it is like we have a new baby! I've heard that at 3 months babies get easier, and it's so true! Carter has stopped her evening wailing sessions, she has started laughing, rolling over, and best of all...sleeping through the night!!! YAY!!!
I'm such a big girl!
